Usage
- Reversal trigger at structure: bullish engulfing at a demand zone is a stronger setup than mid-range.
- Continuation confirmation: bullish engulfing in a confirmed uptrend can be a momentum push.
Pitfalls
Plain engulfing is a body comparison - it doesn't care about wicks. Long wicks can satisfy the pattern with weak conviction behind them. Combine with volume or order-flow filters.
